Iranian ‘Once a Woman’ vying in the US

Iran's ‘Once a Woman’ is competing at the 2020 L-DUB filmfest in the US.

Iranian feature ‘Once a Woman’ has been competing at the 9th edition of the L-DUB Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Jalil Akbari-Sehhat, ‘Once a Woman’ is a co-production of Iran, Canada, and Kenya.

It narrates the story of several individuals who are exploring life to get to know more about themselves, others, and the world.

‘Once a Woman’ stars Ghazal Shakeri, Pejman Hadavi, and a number of foreign actors.

The film has gone on screen at a number of global events, including the 2019 Carthage Film Festival in Tunisia and the 2020 Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film in Jordan.

The L-DUB festival celebrates the art of filmmaking and provides an opportunity for emerging filmmakers to get introduced to the new audience and attendees.

The ninth edition of the festival started on October 9 and will end on October 11, 2020.
